Leopard Head:

In Benin the leopard head motif was most often used for masks worn on warriors' hips; a portrayal like this one without discernible function is much rarer. It was perhaps intended for the altar of an Oba given that in many parts of Benin, the leopard still serves as a metaphor for the king.
