This horseman is by far the largest and also the youngest of the three horsemen here presented. Despite its relative youth, the object bears direct reference to the 16 th -century tradition of equestrian figures and incorporates some of the old motifs like tall headgear and collar. Only the shield hanging loosely from the rider's arm is a more recent feature.
