The male figure is distinguished by his size, his clothing and the charming way he hooks his arm around the other figure's. The woman wears a longer garment than his and holds the ram's horn. The man, for his part, clasps both hands around an unidentifiable implement.
The crowns worn by this circa 250-year-old pair and their highly individualistic expressions bear reference to the sensitive and realistic Ife style, though the rendering of their bodies is more akin to works from Benin.
